SHOOT – PRESENT – CREATE

 

The experience we offer is broken down into a three stage creative process which we call the SPC (shoot – present – create) process. The SPC experience comprises of photography on location, a cinema presentations in the comfort of your own home and many beautiful photography products to choose from in our extensive range.

The Shoot

Pictures Inc Portraits is all about location photography. This means no bright white backdrops, no cheesy props and no big studio. The world IS our studio, and with Mother Nature our creativity has no limits. We can also shoot in your home, you’d be surprised with the amount of fantastic photo opportunities you have in the very space you live.

For outdoor photo shoots the seasonal changes we experience can offer unique photo opportunities specific to a certain time of year like the golden Autumn colours or the bluebells of Spring and under rarer circumstances crisp, white snow. Each setting offers many unique qualities and sometimes can even be reminiscent of your persona.

Times

Photo shoots can vary in terms of time, especially where kids are concerned but generally we suggest the following times:

Babies: 1 hour

Children: 1 hour 30 mins (add 30 mins per extra child)

Family: 2-3 hours

Couples 1 hour, 30 mins

What to wear?

Babies: Babies are their most cutest with as least clothing as possible.

Children: Smart-Casual is the most natural for kids. Avoid formal clothing (trousers and ties may look smart but save it for the school photo instead). Also avoid tracksuits and any tops with heavy logos. Denims, dungarees and shirts for boys and colourful dresses for girls are always work well. In colder weather cuddly jackets, scarfs and hats work great for the cozy location portrait. We want your photos to look honest and authentic then we know you will love your photos just as much in 10 years time as you do the day you get them.

Family: Again we want to portray you as authentically as possible, so the smart-casual balance normally works great. Huge sports logos and football tops generally don’t work too well.

Fashion: Let your wardrobe  to the talking. Some colours work better seasonally, please don’t hesitate to shout if you’d like to discuss before hand.

The presentation

Continuing with your experience, your presentation takes place in your very own home. We will build a cinema in your living room with a 5ft screen and HD projector (you’ll have to provide your own popcorn). Starting with a video trailer, then continuing with a presentation of all your photographs, you will see your images in the size they were meant to be shown.

Most presentations are done in the evening as is normally the most convenient time. We recommend that you arrange a time when you won’t be distracted by the kids.

Creations

The final step of our creative process is to transform your photograph into a wonderful “creation.” From photographic prints to live size framed portraits and from gallery albums to slideshow videos, we have something for everyone.
